Bendigo Hospital represents the largest regional hospital development in Victoria, establishing a world-class healthcare facility that incorporates the latest design and technology solutions within a tranquil and caring environment. This major regional infrastructure project required waterproofing solutions across over 10,000m² capable of meeting stringent healthcare standards while supporting the facility’s operational demands, including specialised applications such as helipad surfaces subject to extreme loading and environmental exposure.

To meet the highest performance and sustainability standards, the project focused on:

Based on proven performance in similar hospital projects including Fiona Stanley Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital, Envirosystems was selected as the supplier of environmentally responsible waterproofing solutions for Bendigo Hospital. The specification included the Enviro Trafficable System for the helipad, alongside comprehensive waterproofing protection across the 10,000m² facility.

The Enviro Trafficable System provides a hard-wearing, UV-stable waterproof membrane with inherent slip resistance, capable of withstanding full vehicular traffic and the extreme loading demands of helicopter operations. This unique solution to external waterproofing offers significant advantages over conventional membrane, screed and tile systems by enabling shortened construction periods while delivering superior long-term performance. The comprehensive Envirosystems approach ensured reliable protection for this landmark regional healthcare facility, supporting its role as a world-class medical centre for central Victoria.
