International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney is Asia Pacific’s premier integrated convention, exhibition and entertainment precinct, underlining Sydney’s place as one of the world’s most desirable meeting and event destinations. This landmark facility provides the ideal platform for collaboration and innovation, featuring extensive indoor and outdoor event spaces including a 5,000m² external event deck with a 1,000m² outdoor lounge and bar area offering spectacular city and harbour views. The scale and prominent waterfront location demanded robust waterproofing solutions capable of withstanding both pedestrian and vehicular traffic in a highly exposed environment.

To meet the highest performance and sustainability standards, the project focused on:

• Delivering UV-resistant, trafficable waterproofing systems for the 5,000m² external event deck exposed to Sydney’s harbour climate
• Providing slip-resistant surfaces capable of withstanding both pedestrian traffic and full vehicular loads across event spaces
• Ensuring shortened construction periods and long-term durability for Asia Pacific’s premier convention and entertainment precinct

Envirosystems Solution

Envirosystems was contracted to prepare and supply a UV-resistant waterproofing system to pedestrian and vehicular trafficable areas on the Event Deck at ICC Sydney. The process covered the 5,000m² external event deck, including the 1,000m² outdoor lounge and bar area with its spectacular city and harbour views.

Capable of withstanding full vehicular traffic, Envirosystems products enabled shortened construction periods while delivering unique external waterproofing protection. This proven technology ensured reliable, long-term performance for one of Sydney’s most prominent event venues, supporting the facility’s role as Asia Pacific’s premier integrated convention and entertainment destination.
