Project Details
Western Sydney Stadium, officially known as Bankwest Stadium, forms part of the NSW Government’s $1.6 billion Stadia Strategy to improve sporting infrastructure across the State. Completed and opened on 14 April 2019, the facility provides undercover seating for 30,000 people and five levels of function spaces, establishing a world-class sporting venue for Western Sydney. The project required comprehensive waterproofing solutions across 32,000m² encompassing diverse applications from tiered seating and concourse areas to bathrooms and commercial kitchen facilities.
To meet the highest performance and sustainability standards, the project focused on:
- Delivering robust waterproofing protection across tiered seating sections exposed to weather and accommodating large crowds
- Providing durable, trafficable systems for high-traffic concourse areas subject to constant pedestrian movement during major events
- Ensuring chemical-resistant, hygienic coatings for bathroom and kitchen preparation areas meeting commercial facility standards
Envirosystems Solution
Envirosystems solutions were installed across a range of applications throughout the 32,000m² Western Sydney Stadium build. The specification included Enviro CSH and Enviro HP1200 to the tiered seating sections, Enviro Trafficable System to the concourse areas, and Enviro Epoxy RC to the entrance bathrooms and kitchen preparation areas.
This comprehensive product selection enabled tailored solutions for the diverse performance requirements throughout the stadium. The tiered seating systems provided weather-resistant protection, the trafficable concourse systems delivered durability for high-volume pedestrian traffic, and the epoxy coatings ensured hygienic, chemical-resistant surfaces for public amenities and food preparation spaces.
