Completed in 2015, the redevelopment of The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne represented the largest project of its kind undertaken by the State Government of Victoria at that time. This state-of-the-art facility features over 5,000 rooms with capacity for 240,000 patients annually, 230 emergency patients daily, and 4,000 staff. The hospital provides a stimulating and colourful environment with views of the Royal Park gardens and abundant natural light, creating a unique healing environment that sets a new benchmark in hospital design for both younger and older patients.

To meet the highest performance and sustainability standards, the project focused on:
