The Project
Project Details
Perth Stadium, also known as Optus Stadium, is a world-class multi-purpose venue on Western Australia’s coast. It is designed to accommodate 60,000 spectators, making it the third largest stadium in Australia. This landmark development represents a significant investment in sports and entertainment infrastructure. The stadium is a state-of-the-art facility, capable of hosting international sporting competitions and large-scale public events across AFL, rugby union and league, football, cricket and major entertainment events.
To meet the highest performance and sustainability standards, the project focused on:
- Delivering durable, long-lasting waterproofing and protective coatings across extensive public areas and structural elements
- Providing UV-resistant, trafficable systems capable of withstanding high pedestrian volumes and diverse weather conditions
- Ensuring specification-grade performance across varied substrate types and applications throughout the complex
Envirosystems Solution
Envirosystems was utilised across more than 12,000m² of Perth Stadium, delivering integrated priming, waterproofing and protective coating systems to diverse applications throughout the build. The project utilised a comprehensive product range including Enviro Prime P2 and Enviro Epoxy B.
These products were selected to provide robust waterproofing, abrasion resistance and UV stability across trafficable surfaces, ensuring long-term protection and performance in a high-traffic stadium environment exposed to coastal weather conditions. The versatility of the Envirosystems product range allowed for tailored solutions across multiple substrate types and performance requirements.
